Music programs throughout the country depend on support from organizations such as RBOPO to maintain their tradition of musical excellence. Your TAG DAY contribution will be used to fund uniforms for more than 20 performing ensembles, new instruments, books, and music, visits from guest conductors and clinicians, marching show design & arranging, performance electronics, and the many other needs of our band and orchestra students.
On TAG DAY, members of the high school band and orchestra canvas neighborhoods in the Robinson area to invite neighbors to their concerts and ask for tax deductible contributions in support of their instrumental music program. This ‘tag’ is left at homes to ask for donations from neighbors, friends, and family members near and far, by mail or online via PayPal.
Over the last 50 years, thanks to your contributions, we have been able to offer one of the finest instrumental music programs in Virginia. Under band directors Andrew Loft, Katie Dever, & Judy Einuis, and orchestra directors Anne Rupert & Francesca Fitzgerald, more than 650 middle and high school students are enriched through their participation in these outstanding and award winning musical ensembles and are a part of the most inclusive and diverse organizations on campus.

We need our Band & Orchestra parents to VOLUNTEER
Here's what we need:
A. DRIVERS (60 Needed!!) Drive groups of four students (two band, two orchestra) around pre-defined neighborhood routes. To sign up to be a driver, please complete TWO forms:
1. TAG DAY DRIVER INFORMATION FORM
2. FIELD TRIP DRIVERS FORM (submit this with the Driver Information Form or bring it with you on Tag Day)
B. HOME BASE VOLUNTEERS: stay at Robinson to help with the many administrative jobs, be a runner to take supplies as needed to students & drivers, food service, and more. Sign up using the SIGNUP GENIUS link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050548a5a9238-2022

We need PIZZA, fruit, desserts, plates, and other items for our hungry drivers, students, and volunteers.
